Specific Terms – Important terms applying to our Poker area
Our general Terms and Conditions (click here) apply to Poker games in our Poker area in addition to the Specific Terms below. Please note that if there is any conflict between the Specific Terms and our general Terms and Conditions, these Specific Terms will take precedence. The Specific Terms which apply to the Casino games that are in this area can be found here

Where can you find the Rules of the Poker games you want to play. The Rules for Texas Hold’em and Omaha Poker variants can be found here. Rules that apply to Twister Tournaments can be found here. Rules that apply to individual tournaments can be found by navigating to the Tournaments section in the Poker Lobby and clicking on your chosen tournament.

Where can you find out about any limits that apply to our Poker games. Poker Cash Games have a minimum and maximum buy-in limit which are linked to the table stakes. These limits are displayed in the Poker Lobby when clicking on ‘View all cash games’. They are also displayed when you take a seat at a table and are presented with the buy-in window.

Where can you find out about any charges that apply to our Poker games. When you play Cash Games, we collect a Rake which is a small percentage of the pot. When you play Tournaments, we charge a Fee which is a percentage of the total buy-in. Details of all charges can be found here.

How does the currency conversion work. All Poker games at Betfred Poker are played in EUR (€). If the currency of your account is not EUR, then a currency conversion takes place before you are required to commit any funds. In Cash Games the conversion is shown when you take a seat at a table and are presented with the buy-in window, as shown above. In Tournaments the conversion is shown when you click on a Tournament in the Poker Lobby and hover over/click on the “i” icon next to BUY-IN, as can be seen below.

What are Betfred Club Points. Betfred Club Points are earned at the rate of 30 points for every €1 paid in Rake and/or Fee. Earning Betfred Club Points can help you in a number of ways such as determining your level in the Betfred Club, releasing Poker Bonuses and completing Poker Missions.

Do bonuses in our Poker area have any restrictions. Poker Bonuses are released at the rate of €5 cash (or currency equivalent) for every 750 Betfred Club Points earned. In addition each Poker Bonus will have a minimum deposit (Poker transfer) requirement and will also have a ‘redeem by’ period meaning that any amount of Poker Bonus that remains after the ‘redeem by’ period will expire. All of these details will be made clear in the terms of the specific bonus.

Are there any ‘time critical’ elements. Whether playing Cash Games or Tournaments, you are allotted an amount of time in which to make your decision and take your chosen action(s). Please note that the speed of your internet connection may impact on when we receive your instructions and until we receive your instructions time will continue to run. This means that you may have made your decision and taken your chosen action(s) within the relevant time but we do not receive it within the allotted time. If that happens, your decision and chosen action(s) will not count and be classed as ‘out of time’.

Additional terms applying to our shared poker rooms
- We offer shared poker rooms. These enable players from other poker room websites to join the same game, table or tournament as you. This facility is provided and managed by our third party poker network services provider. In order for you to join and play in these shared poker rooms, you will be additionally required to agree to their terms. If you do not agree to these further terms, then please do not play in the shared poker rooms
- What happens if you break the rules and terms of the shared poker rooms, the consequences of breaking the rules and terms will be explained to you in the terms you agree to with the provider of the poker network service and include the right for them to terminate your game or block your account as well as stop you from accessing the shared poker rooms.
- How do we try to prevent collusion in the Shared Poker Rooms. Collusion is where two or more players attempt to obtain an unfair advantage by sharing knowledge of their cards or other information at a poker table. Collusion is not permitted under any circumstances. We will do our best to investigate complaints received against players suspected of collusion and take appropriate action against such players.
