Specific Terms – Important terms applying to our Lotto Draws and Numbers Games

Our general Terms and Conditions (click here) apply to our Lotto Draws and Numbers Games in addition to the Specific Terms below. Please note that if there is any conflict between the Specific Terms and our general Terms and Conditions, these Specific Terms will take precedence.

• What is Betfred Numbers Betting and where can you find it?

  Numbers betting is the name we give to betting at fixed odds on the results of certain national and international lotteries, 49’s and other similar numbers draws. We have placed all of these in our Betfred Lotto area.

  We have one ‘5-ball draw’ on the French Lotto where 5 main balls are drawn and whilst there is a bonus ball which is drawn, we do not offer any bets on that. Therefore, you can bet on a single number being drawn up to 5 numbers.

  The ‘6-ball draw’ refers to the main 6 balls drawn and so excludes the bonus ball.  You can bet on a single number being drawn up to all 6 numbers.

  The ‘7-ball draw’ refers to all 7 balls drawn and so includes the bonus ball. This increases your chances of winning but offers reduced pay-outs. You can bet on a single number being drawn up to 6 numbers.

• What is Bonus Ball Boost?

  Bonus Ball Boost is a bet available on the Irish Lotto, 49’s & Nifty 50. When placing a 6-ball “pick and match” bet, you can also choose one Bonus ball number, free of charge.

  If all your selected main numbers are drawn and your chosen Bonus ball is also drawn, your odds, and therefore your payout, are boosted to the enhanced Bonus Ball Boost odds shown for that game. If all your main numbers are drawn but your Bonus ball is not, your bet is settled at the standard Main Numbers odds. The boosted odds are paid instead of, not in addition to, the standard Main Numbers odds.

  You may select between 3 and 6 main numbers on Nifty 50, and between 3 and 5 main numbers on the Irish Lotto and 49's. Your Bonus ball number must be different from your main numbers. Alternatively, you can choose a Quick Pick to have your main numbers and Bonus ball randomly generated.

  All your main numbers must be drawn for any return to be payable. If you match the Bonus ball but do not match all your main numbers, no returns are payable.

• How do you place a bet on Betfred Lotto and numbers draws?

  Simply select the numbers you wish to bet on or click ‘Lucky Dip’ to have your numbers randomly generated for you. You do not have to accept these numbers and you can click ‘Lucky Dip’ again to get another selection of randomly generated numbers.

  Choose which draw(s) you wish to bet on from those that are available. You can bet on any number of draws each day. You can place bets on draws up to 4 weeks in advance.

  Choose the type(s) of bet you require from the drop-down menu in the bet slip or choose ‘More Bets’ for a greater range of options including a number of other permutations such as a Heinz and a Lucky 63.

  Add the bets to the bet slip, choose your stake and then click on ‘Place Bet’. You should then receive a confirmation of the bet you have placed.

  Be sure to read the Important Terms section below together with the key Information which contains the days and times of the draws, the maximum pay-out and all the important terms which apply.

Important Terms

• How do you know the bet has been placed?

  In order for a bet to be valid, you must have received a bet confirmation on your screen. All bets on a specific draw must be placed and confirmed by us before the Draw Time of the specific draw. Any bet accepted after this time is in error and will be void and your stakes returned, whether you win or lose.

• Is there a minimum stake size?

  You can stake any amount from 10 pence upwards, but you will be limited to the Maximum Payout.

• Void/Postponed Draws

  If for any reason a draw does not take place or no draw (i.e. result) is published or officially announced, all valid Numbers Bets on that draw will stand for the next available draw(s) unless cancelled by mutual consent before such next available draw(s).

Specific Lotto Betting Rules

Please note that the Maximum Pay-Out which applies to Lotto Betting, Live Lotto Games, Lotto Scratch Cards and Instant Wins are as follows:

Lotto Betting

1. £10,000,000 : on Nifty 50 for matching all 6 main numbers & the bonus ball on Bonus Ball Boost. £5,000,000 : On Nifty 50 for matching all 5 main numbers & the bonus ball on Bonus Ball Boost. £6,500,000 : on Nifty 50 for matching all 6 numbers in the 6-ball draw. £1,000,000 on Nifty 50 for matching all 5 main numbers & not matching the bonus ball on Bonus Ball Boost. £650,000: all other bets on Nifty 50.
2. £5,000,000 for matching all 5 main numbers & the bonus ball on Bonus Ball Boost on Irish Lotto and 49’s. £1,000,000 : on all other Irish Lotto and 49’s bets.
3. £150,000 : on Polish Lotto, New York Lotto, Spanish Lotto, Canadian Lotto, German Lotto & French Lotto.
4. £100,000 : On Greek Lotto and Australian Lotto.
5. £66,000 : on the Irish Daily Millions.

Lotto Scratch Cards & Instant Wins

1. Progressive Jackpots: The progressive jackpot scratch cards maximum pay-outs replicate the maximum value shown within the game when you attempt to stake the maximum unit stake amount.

All other scratch cards and instant wins are £50,000 within any single day.

Live Lotto Games

1. The Maximum pay-out for all Live Lotto games is £256,000 per customer, per day, regardless of the number of bets placed or draws entered.

General

‘Nifty 50’ is the name given by Betfred for betting on the results of a numbers game operated by Betfred.

All betting on Nifty 50 is subject to these rules. Should there be any inconsistency between these rules for Nifty 50 and the Betfred General Rules, these rules shall prevail.

Betfred reserves the right to amend or terminate Nifty 50 at any time without prior notice. However, any amendments to Nifty 50 will not affect anyone who has already entered Nifty 50 before any such change is made, other than where this may be necessary to prevent fraud or other similar unlawful behaviour.

Summary Of Draw

Unless otherwise advertised, five draws on Nifty 50 take place every day with the exception of Christmas Day. These are at 11.30am, 2.30pm, 5:30pm, 6:30pm and 7:30pm (UK time).

There are 50 balls in Nifty 50 draw, numbered 1-50. 6 balls plus a Bonus ball are drawn.

The ‘6-ball draw’ refers to the main 6 balls drawn and so excludes the Bonus ball. You can bet on a single number being drawn up to all 6 numbers.

The ‘7-ball draw’ refers to all 7 balls drawn and so includes the Bonus ball. You can bet on a single number being drawn up to 6 numbers.

Staking

Bets on Nifty 50 are accepted in unit stakes of 10 pence upwards.

Permutations and multi-bets are accepted.

For bets on all 6 numbers in the 6-ball draw, the maximum total stake permitted by any one customer or group/syndicate of customers acting together, in any one draw, on any particular combination of six numbers is £1.

For multi-bets which involve all 6 numbers in the 6-ball draw, i.e. Lucky63 or Heinz, the maximum unit stake permitted by any one customer or group/syndicate of customers acting together, in any one draw, on any particular combination of six numbers is £1. So the maximum total stake permitted on a Lucky 63 on the 6-ball draw is £63 and the maximum total stake permitted on a Heinz on the 6-ball draw is £57.

If a customer or group/syndicate of customers acting together, in any one draw, combines two or more different bets such that the total stake on any particular combination of 6 numbers in the 6-ball draw is more than £1, the total stake on any such combination of 6 numbers will be settled at £1.

In any event, the total amount payable will be subject to the maximum payout limit.

There are no bonuses or consolations payable on any multi-bet on Nifty 50.

Where betting on Bonus Ball Boost:

On any individual draw, when choosing 6 main numbers on a Nifty 50 Bonus Ball Boost bet, the maximum total stake permitted by any one customer, or group/syndicate of customers acting together, on those same 6 numbers is £1.

On any individual draw, when choosing 5 main numbers on a Bonus Ball Boost bet (Irish Lotto, 49’s or Nifty 50), the maximum total stake permitted by any one customer, or group/syndicate of customers acting together, on those same 5 numbers is £5.

In all cases the total amount payable remains subject to the maximum payout limit for that game.

Maximum Payout Limit (Nifty 50)

For bets matching all 6 numbers in the 6-ball draw of Nifty 50, including a Lucky 63 or a Heinz bet, the maximum payout to any one customer, or group/syndicate of customers acting together, in any one day is £6,500,000.

For a Bonus Ball Boost bet matching all 6 main numbers plus the Bonus ball (odds boosted from 5,000,000/1 to 10,000,000/1), the maximum payout in any one day is £10,000,000.

For a Bonus Ball Boost bet matching 5 numbers plus the Bonus ball (odds boosted from 200,000/1 to 1,000,000/1), the maximum payout in any one day is £5,000,000.

For a Bonus Ball Boost bet matching 5 numbers without the Bonus ball, the maximum payout in any one day is £1,000,000.

For all other bets on Nifty 50, including any other Bonus Ball Boost bets, the maximum payout in any one day is £650,000.

Maximum Payout Limit (Irish Lotto and 49's)

For a Bonus Ball Boost bet on Irish Lotto or 49's matching 5 numbers plus the Bonus ball (odds boosted to 1,000,000/1), the maximum payout to any one customer, or group/syndicate of customers acting together, in any one day is £5,000,000.

For all other bets on Irish Lotto, the maximum payout in any one day is £1,000,000.

For all other bets on 49's, the maximum payout in any one day is £1,000,000

Placing a Bet

In order for a bet on Nifty 50 to be valid you must have received a bet confirmation on your screen. All bets on a specific draw of Nifty 50 must be placed and confirmed by us before the advertised time of the draw. Any bet accepted after this time in error will be void and stakes refunded, win or lose. We accept no responsibility for bets not placed or confirmed in time, for any reason.

Void/Postponed Draws

If for any reason a draw on Nifty 50 does not take place, all bets on that draw will stand for the next draw of Nifty 50 to take place.

Example: If Draw 4 is selected but that draw does not take place for any reason, the bet will stand for Draw 5.

Note that where you have placed bets on the same numbers in consecutive draws, this will mean you have an increased stake on those same numbers in that next draw. Your bet will still remain subject to the maximum payout rule.

Example: If Draws 4 & 5 are selected but Draw 4 does not take place for any reason, both bets will be on Draw 5.

Combining With Other Bets

Bets on Nifty 50 cannot be combined with any other betting event, nor may two or more draws on Nifty 50 be combined in accumulator bets.

Payouts

Payouts on winning bets on all 6 numbers in the 6-ball draw, regardless of the amount won, will be made within 30 days of the draw taking place.
