| Keith Deller is best known for causing one of the greatest upsets in darts history. As an unknown outsider in 1983 he faced the game’s dominant force, Eric Bristow, in the World Championship final. Famously, Bristow opted not to go for the bullseye at a crucial stage, believing Deller would not check out on 138. But he hit treble 20, treble 18 and double 12 to take out the finish and clinch the title. Deller was one of the players involved in the big split in darts in 1993 and went on to reach the semi-finals of the World Championship in 1998. |
