| ‘Big’ Cliff Lazarenko was a highly consistent performer throughout the 1980s, 1990s and into the current decade, his smooth throwing style attracting widespread admiration among darts purists. He became famous for his extroverted celebrations when he took out a big finish or won an important leg. Since reaching the quarter-finals of the World Matchplay in 2001, health problems have kept Lazarenko away from the oche for periods of time but he enjoyed a good run at the 2007 UK Open in Bolton and is now fighting fit again. |
